Hello — I’m May Benjamin.
I am a commissioned notary public in California, and I bring the notarization to you rather than asking you to find your way to me.
Seven days a week, 7am - 10pm
Why mobile
Most people need a notary at an awkward moment. A parent is in hospital and the family suddenly needs a power of attorney. Escrow closes Friday and the only appointment at the bank is next Tuesday. A document has to reach a consulate abroad and nobody is quite sure what order the steps go in.
Being mobile solves the part of that problem I can actually solve. I come to the kitchen table, the hospital room, the office, the care facility - wherever the people who need to sign already are.
I hold a commission from the California Secretary of State and carry the $15,000 surety bond the state requires. I notarize in English and in Arabic. Every notarization I perform is recorded as a numbered entry in a sequential journal, as California law requires.
What I will not do is give you legal advice, tell you which document you need, or help you fill one in - a notary is not an attorney, and anyone offering otherwise is overstepping. What I will do is tell you plainly what I can notarize, what it costs, and when I can be there.
Tell me what needs signing
Call and describe the document. If I cannot help, I will say so and point you towards someone who can.
